Encounter based charting allows you to document on the parent and child (or multiples) separately and still maintain the integrity of the combined chart. You can print the provider reports separately or as one combined chart. In the case of multiples, each child has their own chart and is part of the combined chart.
Based on the modern SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendations) charting method, it helps organize the report to the provider. No more repetitious charting! Dropdown boxes allow you to chart quickly knowing the terminology is accurate and you can add your own terms based on your specialty.
With the current Covid-19 pandemic, MilkNotes™ VideoCare is perfect for virtual lactation visits. The parents can use any web enabled device (yes even a smartphone) and as you are interviewing the parent(s), you can enlarge or shrink the image and move it around the screen as necessary while you continue to chart on the couplet. No need to open a second window or upload another platform. VideoCare maintains a secure connection directly between you and your client through MilkNotes and is HIPAA compliant, there are no recordings, just chart as you go!
